The collection is divided into two parts, primarily the sections „Letters”, its reviews. The second section is called Life, but this is only true in a limited sense. It contains Conrad’s views on some of the pressing political issues of the day. They range from the Russo-Japanese War and the question of the independence of Poland to the death of the Titanic.
