Tommy Beresford and Prudence Cowley called Tuppence, two young people short of money and restless for excitement, embark on a daring business scheme – Young Adventurers Ltd. The novel centers around a mysterious young girl, named Jane Finn, suffering from amnesia, who was present on the sinking of the Lusitania. As Tommy and Tuppence try to unravel the mystery, they find themselves embroiled with mysterious millionaire and the dangerous politics of nation-states. „The Secret Adversary” is a fast paced thriller involving the world of espionage and once you have started, you just cannot put it down. Added to this is the excellent chemistry between the two amateur detectives. Despite their personality differences, they make a good team, and Christie’s novel was received with almost universal praise. Thoroughly enjoyable read!
