Elio viene alla luce nel 1961, nell’habitat di Milano. La sua biografia si può considerare un lungo preludio a queste favole zoologiche. Con Elio e le Storie Tese incide tra l’altro "Il vitello dai piedi di balsa", "Né carne né pesce", "Agnello medley" e "Cani e padroni di cani"; dal 1998, anno in cui si dà al "classico", interpreta "Pierino e il lupo" di Prokofev e il "Carnevale degli animali" di Saint Saëns, per poi allestire col maestro Enrique Mazzola uno spettacolo di Lieder intitolato "Il carnevale delle bestie".
