Questo libro vuole essere un contributo per individuare una via d'uscita dalla pericolosa condizione nella quale viviamo tutti. Come richiama il sottotitolo, è un'utopia necessaria, ma meno utopica di quanto possa esserlo la speranza di salvarci rimanendo dentro l'attuale sistema. È una traccia che auspichiamo possa essere integrata delle tante parti mancanti dalle persone che, condividendo la criticità della situazione, vedono perdersi nel nulla le conoscenze accumulate nei rispettivi tanti anni di studio, ricerca, osservazione. Stiamo cercando di costruire una rete che permetta agli interessati a questo progetto di contribuire alla sua definizione e diffusione. L'utile delle vendite di questa pubblicazione e della precedente (La favola della razza estinta), verrà investito nella realizzazione di questa rete.
