In order to discover who is moving in the shadows and to save everyone, he is faced with making a decision that will change his whole life and his opinion of the other animals. But will it be the right choice? Giovanni Volpi is an Italian journalist who lives with his family in the countryside and loves stories about animals, like “Watership Down”, “The Incredible Journey” and “Animal Farm”. Vivo in una vecchia cascina dalle parti del torrente, mi chiamo Tappo e sono un cane piccoletto e sempre indaffarato. Passo le mie giornate di guardia al cortile e controllo i campi che arrivano fino al grande pioppo, il punto più lontano da casa. Nella fattoria abitano altri animali, ma io sono un po’ scontroso e mi sono simpatiche solo Lucy, la gatta della padrona, e Rosina, la civetta con il nido nella legnaia. Tutto sommato non avrei di che lamentarmi. Un giorno però le cose sono cambiate: in cortile è arrivata una brutta notizia che ci ha messo tutti in pericolo. Ma secondo me in questa storia c’è qualcosa che non quadra, niente è come sembra, e per scoprire chi si muove nell’ombra prima di tutto dovrò fare i conti con me stesso… Giovanni Volpi è un giornalista che vive con la sua famiglia nelle campagne del Piacentino; ama le storie dedicate agli animali, come La collina dei conigli, Il libro della giungla e La fattoria degli animali.
