Every Sunday morning I conduct outdoor church services for the officers and men of my regiment. In the afternoon I visit the sick soldiers in the base hospital near here. On weekdays I go to the base hospital every morning, and in the afternoon I must attend the school of equitation for all mounted officers. This is where we get our drill in horse back riding. Nearly every evening I must attend lectures on military topics. All officers, both mounted and unmounted, are required to be present at these lectures.
