Si diploma all’Istituto Superiore di Educazione Fisica di Milano con una tesi sul lavoro meccanico delle ruote; l’anno successivo inizia la carriera di preparatore nelle categorie giovanili per poi raggiungere il team Mapei nel 1997; dal 2003 lavora in Belgio con il team QuickStep e dal 2011 inizia la sua esperienza con Trek Factory Racing dove dal 2014 diventa General Manager, ruolo che ricopre tuttora.

He graduated from the Higher Institute of Physical Education in Milan with a thesis on the mechanical work of wheels; the following year he began his career as a coach in youth categories before joining the Mapei team in 1997.
