È un dato ormai certo che nel mondo manchi la fiducia nelle istituzioni ecclesiali. Ciò è dovuto molto probabilmente al fatto che gli uomini di tutte le comunità ecclesiali del terzo millennio non riescano ancora ad accogliere e a trasmettere il messaggio del Vangelo. Ogni forma d'indifferenza e di violenza è l'inevitabile risultato. In particolare le guerre, tutte le guerre, anche quelle spesso dimenticate dall'opinione pubblica, allarmano non poco coloro che sono più sensibili alla pace. La chiesa di Cristo cosa dovrebbe fare? Anch'essa dovrebbe rimanere indifferente? Se essa non riuscisse ad adempiere tre compiti fondamentali, non potrebbe mai diventare lievito per la fraternità umana riconciliata. Se, infatti, non riuscisse a trasmettere il messaggio del Vangelo a tutti in maniera adeguata, se non riuscisse a donare il senso della vita ad ogni persona e se infine non si unisse in un'unica famiglia cristiana nella sua inevitabile diversità, essa sarebbe in questo terzo millennio sempre più una casa diroccata del Padre, un corpo dilaniato del Cristo e un tempio da restaurare nello Spirito. Attraverso il metodo della lectio divina si cerca di vedere la chiesa come la Casa di Dio Padre, pensare alla chiesa come corpo di Cristo e agire nella chiesa considerandola Tempio dello Spirito. Per questo motivo partendo dai brani della Scrittura, ci s'imbatte su tali categorie ecclesiologiche per arrivare ad una breve riflessione critica ed ecumenica sul nostro essere chiesa di Cristo, ad una preghiera che arrivi al cielo come incenso tramite lo Spirito e ad un'azione che glorifichi il Padre.

The intent of this short book is to exclude all forms of ecumenical and interreligious dialogue that is not based on the uniqueness of Jesus Christ and on the truth of the Word in the Old and the New Testament. Starting from the observation that the word of God is truth and it is the only truth, eternal, incarnating 2000 years ago, it is immutable, irrevocable and absolute. First it was entrusted to the Jewish people and then to the church to be transmitted and preserved. It will never adapt to any form of dialogue between religions that do not have this principle of truth only in Jesus Christ. But before tackling a dialogue with other religions aimed at knowledge of the Word made flesh, the Christian churches must seek ways to unite in their diversity. It would be appropriate to adopt a form of "integration" between: a. the vision of the primacy of honor and partially legal (in one case) of the bishop of Rome that would save the doctrine of Vatican Council I b. and the more modern vision of a collegiate primacy (on the model of the twelve apostles) entrusted to the Bishop of Rome and to the primates of the various non roman churches which will protect the deposit of faith from possibly heretical or non biblical positions of the Bishop of Rome.
