Ritengo che questo lavoro sulla riscoperta e valorizzazione del connubio pianoforte-chitarra sia molto importante per il repertorio e le ulteriori possibilità del mio strumento. Il lavoro parte dalla tradizione: oltre ai vari Giuliani, Castelnuovo-Tedesco, ecc. vengono portate alla luce numerose opere di autori cosiddetti “minori” dell’800 e 900 che sarebbero andate nel dimenticatoio e che hanno comunque una loro valenza artistica. Tutto ciò si sviluppa e ha epilogo nel nuovo “millennio”, dove la sperimentazione e la ricerca compositiva con questa formazione si arricchisce anche dell’uso dell’elettronica musicale. Raccomando vivamente la lettura di quest’opera a tutti i chitarristi, pianisti e compositori perché potranno arricchire il loro bagaglio culturale e prendere spunto per creare con questa formazione nuove forme sonore (dalla Prefazione di Aligi Alibrandi).
