Editors Storch and McKay offer this volume on the delineation, assessment, and treatment of obsessive-compulsive spectrum disorders. The introduction explicitly addresses scope and definitions with an acknowledgement of controversy and the various approaches generating it. The first half of the book contrasts obsessive-compulsive behaviors and treatment approaches at different developmental stages, and discusses a number of specific symptom presentations including hoarding disorder, body dysmorphic disorder, body-focused repetitive behaviors, Tourette’s, and health anxiety. Part II addresses the common comorbidities of depression, self-injury, and autism, while part III presents two chapters on pharmacological treatment focusing separately on adolescents and adults.
