In taluni casi, l'interpretazione corretta è un dato storicamente acclarato - magari perché dichiarata dallo stesso autore - e null'altro si può fare se non riportarla nella maniera più fedele possibile all'originale. In molti altri casi è stato necessario avanzare ipotesi e spingersi un po' più in là con l'immaginazione per trovare un significato plausibile e in linea con riferimenti assolutamente indecifrabili (almeno in prima battuta).
