The leaning Tower of Pisa. Ten years of restoration: La torre campanaria della Cattedrale pisana è stata edificata nell'arco di circa 200 anni; la testimonianza della data della sua fondazione, avvenuta nell'agosto 1173, rimane in una epigrafe, attribuita a Biduino. Contemporaneamente alla storia della costruzione del campanile, inizia quella della sua inclinazione, testimoniata già dal secondo periodo di attività (1272-1278). Da allora fino ad oggi, gli interventi effettuati per la tutela della torre sono stati innumerevoli (basti pensare che l'ultimo Comitato è il 16° dall'Unità d'Italia ad oggi). La mostra ed il simposio vertono sulle metodologie applicate dall'ultimo Comitato per la salvaguardia della Torre per il recupero del monumento.
